In recognition of National Philanthropy Day, the ‘Honored to Give’ benefit and award ceremony celebrates individuals and businesses who strive to improve the greater community of Southwest Florida.

The 2009 Philanthropists of the Year are profiled in the annual issue of Gulfshore Life’s Social Register, and the event, benefiting The Outstanding Youth Scholarship Fund, is presented by the Community Foundation of Collier County and the Southwest Florida Community Foundation. The categories were originally established by the National Association of Fundraising Professionals, which organized the first National Philanthropy Day in 1986.
